Players experience in Valve's official Casual mode by map
timespan: 1-31 january 2018
Explanation
This graph looks at how good players are able to score points per gamemap. It is divided in 8 segments (12.5% per segment). The segments are divided in worst-good; 1/8 being the worst scoring players, usually around 0-10 points per match, and 8/8 being the best scoring players (usually top 2-3 on the scoreboard). We determined the "experience" by looking at how many points a user gains per minute playing on the map. This graph helps determining on what map the most (un)experienced players play on. For example; the first two segments combined of cp_steel are 49.2% of the total playerbase for that map. This indicates one of two things: relatively to the other maps, a lot of unexperienced players play on this map OR it is really hard to score points on this map (maybe due to the layout or objectives). However, the last hypothesis can be verified by looking at the top/top 2 segments and comparing them with the other maps. If the top segment is considerable smaller; it will show that everyone is struggeling in the map, but for cp_steel this effect is barely visible.
This is the only way to determine experience in Casual servers, as the information provided by Valve is limited.

Explanation
This graph shows the relation between playtime and the score in-game. You can see that in Control Point maps cp_powerhouse consistently has higher scores compared to other cp maps. Also interesting to see that players in cp_dustbowl and cp_mountainlab consistently score higher than other maps in the first 5 minutes (maybe due to the attack/defend mode?). Also interesting to see that cp_junction scores quite bad, not quite sure why. I think cp_degrootkeep can be explained that the matches are probably all very short and the scores are reset after each round.Session playtime in Valve's official Casual mode by map
